Any primary school competitor that finished in the first 12 in the Hertfordshire County Cross Country Championships will be emailed information on how they can directly enter themselves into the National Cross Country Championships to be held in March at Preswold Hall, Leicestershire.

Entry cost is £10 payable direct to the organisers and you  are responsible for your own transport.

Entry Information – Secondary Schools

There is no advanced entry system in place.

All athletes that wish to run will arrive on the day, take a number from the main desk and scan a QR code that lets them input their details (age group/emergency contact/school/PE teacher in charge of XC) and they will then be entered.

All spellings and information added is the entrants responsibility and can not be corrected later. Athletes will require a mobile phone or smart device to enter. Entrants can receive an email confirming their entry to their device.

It is still a requirement of entry that a member of staff from the entrants school is present to manage the school team. The event team will not be able to locate or help find school staff or assist in other matters.

Medical cover is provided in the event of emergencies but all other staff should bring their standard medical kit for the event.

Please be aware that we are not allowed to use the Westminster Lodge car park on the day of the Cross Country Championships.

There is plenty of parking in local commercial centre car parks close to Westminster Lodge, but they are about a 10 minute walk away. Please give yourself plenty of time to park your car, walk to the starting area, as well as time to collect your race numbers.

Selection Information – Secondary Schools

Selection of runners to represent Hertfordshire at the National Cross Country Championships in March will be made on the day, and athletes will be advised at the start of their race as to what number will be selected in their age group.
